Going Green Sustainability Lecture: Bayou Land Conservancy Past-Present-Future

The Woodlands G.R.E.E.N. is sponsoring its first Going Green Sustainability Lecture of the fall session titled “Bayou Land Conservancy-Past-Present-Future to be held at the offices of the Houston Advanced Research Center (HARC), located at 8801 Gosling Road, The Woodlands, on Thursday, September 20, at 7:00 p.m. The conservancy’s goal is to preserve land along streams for flood control, clean water, and wildlife. M.C. “Carson” Stokes, a Texas Master Naturalist and a Bayou Land Conservancy Ambassador, will talk to the group about the founding of the conservancy, the methods used to acquire and/or set aside these important lands, and the outlook for the future.
