THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (February 10, 2017) – Children of all ages are encouraged to join The Woodlands Township for its annual Touch-A-Truck event, Saturday, February 18, 2017, from 9 a.m. to noon; rain out date March 4, 2017. The first hour of the event is noise-free and sensory friendly, and the remaining time will include horns and sirens. Touch-a-Truck takes place in the Rob Fleming Aquatic Center parking lot, 6535 Creekside Forest Drive, The Woodlands, Texas, 77389.
Sponsored in part by Waste Connections of Texas, Touch-A-Truck is a unique event that brings together local businesses, fire and law enforcement personnel and residents of the community. It encourages children of all ages to touch vehicles, ask questions and even climb on the trucks and vehicles on display. In addition, there will be a do-it-yourself kids’ construction zone, equipped with fun crafts and games.
For 2017, Waste Connections of Texas is scheduled to participate as a Big Rig Sponsor with the following organizations scheduled to participate as vehicle sponsors: The Woodlands Fire Department, The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Milstead Automotive, Harris County Constables Precinct 4, Cypress Creek EMS, Waste Management, Montgomery County Constables Precinct 3 and Brightview.
