THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (February 24, 2017) – The Woodlands Township Board of Directors held a special strategic planning session followed by a regular meeting Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at The Woodlands Township Town Hall, 2801 Technology Forest Boulevard.
During the planning session, The Woodlands Township Board of Directors discussed a variety of matters relating to incorporation including the annual governance assessment report, the types of analysis and studies that should be completed and the specific responsibility of an incorporated city government versus the Township’s services and responsibilities as a special purpose district.
Staff was directed to compile a list of potential organizations and consulting firms that could be retained by the Township to develop a comprehensive analysis regarding all aspects of incorporation. The Board deferred discussion regarding incorporation analysis timelines and the development of an incorporation fact sheet to a Board of Directors meeting in April.
