THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (April 27, 2017) – The Woodlands Township Board of Directors held a regular meeting Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at The Woodlands Township Town Hall, 2801 Technology Forest Boulevard.
The Board of Directors took the following actions on the Consent Agenda:
Approved a draft Request for Proposals for a Park and Ride Mobile Ticketing System and authorized staff to advertise the solicitation.
The Board of Directors then moved on to take the following actions on the Regular Agenda:
Approved a proclamation recognizing the week of May 15-21, 2017, as “Police Week” in The Woodlands, Texas, to honor the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.
The Board discussed proposed Texas State legislation impacting the W.G. Jones State Forest and Texas A&M’s ability to develop a portion of the property for educational purposes. Following discussion, the Boardpassed a proclamation to reiterate the Board’s opposition to any development in the Jones State Forest.
Discussed matters relating to the final draft of the Bear Branch Park Master Plan and approved Phase 1 as presented with a professional fee schedule of 8 percent with an alternative to the bid including Phase 3 parking lot enhancements.
Received and accepted the March 2017 financial report for The Woodlands Township.
