Lookout for Litter challenge, a summer scavenger hunt

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (June 8, 2017) – Lookout for Litter is a popular three-week summer litter challenge, June 15, 2017, through August 15, 2017, for children ages 15 and younger that helps make The Woodlands a more attractive place for residents and visitors.

Children may participate in the challenge by picking up at least three items per day for three weeks, keeping a daily log of the items, and submitting the log with a parent’s signature to The Woodlands Township Environmental Services Department.

To register, please email Kathie Herrick at kherrick@thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov, and enter “Lookout for Litter” in the subject line, or call 281-210-3927 and leave a message. Please provide the following information: parent’s full name, child’s full name, best contact email and/or phone number, name of the school the child will attend during the fall, and the child’s grade level.

After registering, go to www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/adoptapath, and print the Easy as 1-2-3 2017 Litter Log. The completed log is due on or before August 21, 2017; it can be mailed to Lookout for Litter at 8203 Millennium Forest Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77381, or dropped off in person. Upon submitting the log, children will receive a coupon for a free summer treat.
