THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (June 14, 2017) – Residents, employers and employees in The Woodlands learned the various ways to be prepared by attending the free annual Emergency Preparedness Event on June 10, 2017, at The Woodlands Township Town Hall.
The event was produced by The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Watch with presenting sponsor CenterPoint Energy, and provided education and tips for the whole family to find out what to do and how to prepare for a number of different emergencies.
Participants and sponsors were available to answer questions about emergency preparedness and provided drawings, giveaways, handouts and snacks. Presentations and demonstrations were held throughout the event, including Hurricane Predictions for 2017 by the National Weather Service, hands-only CPR, emergency volunteer opportunities in the area and more.
The Township thanks all the sponsors who helped make the event possible, and encourages all residents and businesses in The Woodlands to stay informed and prepared for any kind of emergency.
