The Woodlands Township Board holds meeting

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (February 22, 2019) – The Woodlands Township Board of Directors held its regular meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2019, at The Woodlands Township Town Hall, 2801 Technology Forest Boulevard in The Woodlands, Texas.

The Board of Directors took the following actions on the Consent Agenda:

  • Received Administrative Reports from Township Departments.
  • Approved an amendment to the agreement with HDR Engineering, Inc. for Transit Consulting Services.
  • Approved a resolution adopting a list of Qualified Brokers authorized to engage in investment transactions with The Woodlands Township.
  • Awarded a bid for Cul-de-Sac Island Maintenance Services.
  • Approved a Resolution for Adoption of Prevailing Wage Rate Scale for Construction Projects.
  • Approved a second amendment to the Conroe-The Woodlands UZA Interlocal Agreement to add a capital reimbursement rate policy for American Disabilities Act paratransit.
  • Approved a revision to the Township Personnel Policy Manual.
  • Awarded bids for pool deck refurbishment and plaster work at Cranebrook Park and Sawmill Park Pools.
  • Approved the 2018 capital project carryovers and related 2019 budget amendment.
  • Awarded a bid for the purchase of a 2019 Ford F-750 Fleet Maintenance Vehicle.
  • Approved the Covenant Administration Digital Records Project.

The Board of Directors then moved on to take the following actions on the Regular Agenda:

  • Approved a second amendment to the contract for Commuter Bus Services adding Expanded Services and approved continuation of the trial The Woodlands Express Rodeo Services with a fare reduction from $25 to $13, and refunds to those who have purchased tickets at $25.
  • Took no action on Incorporation Planning Study matters.
  • Received and accepted an update on repairs of the Waterway Square Fountain.
  • Approved amendments to Township Order No. 020-09 regarding pool fees.
  • Approved a Host Venue Sponsorship Agreement with Premier Soccer Services.
  • Received an update on the CMAQ Commuter and Transit Services Pilot Program grant award.
  • Approved a license agreement for use of Creekside Village Green Park and a lease for use of property on Millennium Forest Drive between The Woodlands Township and The Woodlands Land Development Company.
