THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (February 14, 2020) – Residents and visitors of The Woodlands and surrounding areas now have an easy and convenient way to enjoy weekends at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo with no driving, parking or traffic hassles.
“We’re pleased to again offer The Woodlands Express Rodeo Service on key weekends for our residents and visitors,” said Gordy Bunch, Township Chairman of the Board. “We launched this service last year, and we’re giving it a try again this year. We hope that residents will find that it takes the hassle out of driving and finding a parking spot. And at just $13 for a round-trip ticket, it’s a hard deal to pass up.”
The Woodlands Express, the Township’s Park and Ride weekday transportation service to Houston, will be heading to NRG Stadium on weekends during the rodeo, offering riders an opportunity to enjoy all the festivities without driving and parking concerns.
Service will be provided three weekends during the rodeo: March 7 and 8, March 14 and 15, and March 21 and 22, 2020. The Woodlands Express Rodeo Service buses will leave the Sawdust Park and Ride location at 701 Westridge Drive, with return trips leaving NRG Stadium from the METRO/Rodeo Express pickup location. Trips will run throughout the day and evening at scheduled intervals.
This is a special service, and therefore The Woodlands Express regular tickets are not valid. Reservations must be made, and the complete schedule can be viewed online, at www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/rodeo.
