The Woodlands Township continues to fully support mounted patrol service and recognizes its many benefits to citizens. The Board wishes to enhance mounted patrol service, not eliminate it.

Township Pools Open on Labor Day

Summer fun isn’t over just yet! Residents can make the most of the Labor Day weekend with one final chance to swim, splash and soak up the fun at nine Township pools. All nine post-season pools will be open Saturday, September 5, Sunday, September 6, and Labor Day, Monday, September 7.

City of Houston and Township Pass Amendment to RPA

With the approval of the Third Amendment to the Regional Participation Agreement (RPA), the City of Houston and The Woodlands Township have reached an agreement that provides meaningful financial benefits for Houston today while providing greater long-term financial and governance certainty for The Woodlands.

Township Property Tax Rate

The 2025 adopted tax rate for The Woodlands Township is $0.1714 per $100 of property valuation, supporting the 2026 Budget. On September 3, 2026 the Board adopted the 2026 tax rate of $0.1694 per $100 of property valuation.
