Tennis in The Woodlands
A total of 80 tennis courts are located across 27 parks in the community. The majority of parks with tennis courts have 2 courts. However, there are parks with 3, 4, and 5 courts, and Bear Branch Park, with 11 courts.
Currently, there are 14 USPTA and PTR Certified Tennis Instructors approved to instruct within the The Woodlands tennis court system. These instructors offer a variety of group and private lessons, through The Woodlands Tennis Academy, for all ages and skillsets. Tennis is always in swing in The Woodlands.
Tennis Court Information
- Hours of Operation: 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Tennis courts are open to the public, users without reservations must yield court(s) to permit holders and scheduled programs through The Woodlands Township
- Tennis Court Fees:
- $10/hour - Resident Non-Peak
- $12/hour - Resident Peak (Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m.)
- $24/hour - Non-Resident

Tennis Leagues, Lessons, and Tournaments
All tennis programming is coordinated by The Woodlands Tennis Academy at The Woodlands Township Recreation Centers. Tennis coaches are certified professional instructors. Lessons are available for players of all skill levels and ages!
Looking for a little friendly competition? Join a tennis league! Township ladder leagues, mixers, play dates and more are available. Private Tennis leagues for HLTA, Jackrabbit, North Country and USTA also play on Township courts.
