Filing Forms for 2022 Residential Design Review Committee
and Village Association Elections


Election Day is February 19, 2022 

Thank you for your interest in one of the many elected offices in The Woodlands.
Candidates for office should obtain the appropriate materials by following this easy two-step process: 
  • Step One: Obtain/download a copy of the Election Information Packet, applicable to all open positions. 
  • Step Two: Obtain/download a copy of the Filing Form(s) for the specific position(s) for which you are interested in running.

Filing Deadline


Filing begins Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 8:30 a.m. The deadline for submitting your filing form is 5 p.m. January 20, 2022. Forms received after this time will not be accepted.

Key Dates

  • Start of filing:  December 30, 2021, 8:30 a.m.
  • Close of filing:  January 20, 2022, 5 p.m.
  • Last Day to File as a write-in: January 26, 2022, 5 p.m.
  • Cancellation of voting for races that are uncontested (same as write in deadline): January 26, 2022, 5 p.m.
  • Election Day:  February 19, 2022

Reminder: For any Residential Design Review Committee or Village Association that does not have a contested race as of 5 p.m. on January 26 (the deadline to file as a write-in or to retract candidacy), the entity’s election will be cancelled and the seating and/or filling of vacancies will proceed in accordance with the entity’s bylaws. A list of contested and cancelled elections will be posted on the Township website prior to the start of early voting. Candidates filed will also be posted to the website.
