Cultural Arts Study
Study Overview and Process
This page contains information about The Woodlands Township Cultural Arts Feasibility Study, conducted in 2017-2019. The study was designed to be unbiased and conducted in such a way that the Township will have full understanding of the type of cultural arts facility that would best be supported by The Woodlands Township, if any. Progress on the study including Board presentations, updates and opportunities for community input are provided below..
For the purposes of discussion and for the study, the term “cultural arts” is broadly used to encompass museums, exhibition space or elements of the performing arts.
The Woodlands Township Board of Directors authorized architectural planning firm Gensler to conduct the study in two phases, in partnership with Webb Management, an expert firm in cultural arts feasibility studies:
- Phase I – Needs Assessment
- Phase II – Management/Business Plan and Financial Pro Forma, if necessary
- Phase III – Project Initiation and Definition, Architectural Programming and Business Planning, Pre-Design Analysis
Documents from the ongoing study will be posted below.
