Other items such as Styrofoam, light bulbs, plastic bags and more
Although some items cannot be recycled in our curbside carts, there are other local options. Check out The Woodlands Recycle More Guide for an updated list of opportunities.
Looking for a service project or way to recycle a large quantity of a unique item?
Check out TerraCycle. TerraCycle is Eliminating the Idea of Waste® by recycling the "non-recyclable." Many programs include free shipping and offer incentives in the form of points that can be converted to donations to local organizations. Simply choose a waste stream such as toothbrushes, pens, coffee capsules, aerosol cans, cigarette butts or candy wrappers to collect. When you’ve filled a box, print their shipping label and send it to TerraCycle.
If you or your organization collects a specific item for recycling or a reuse project, let us know! Contact The Woodlands Township Environmental Services Department at 281-210-3800 or enviro@thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov to include your collection in the Recycle More Guide or at the 3R Bazaar recycle event in November.
