Community Tree Planting: Drive-Through
Saturday, February 13, 2021
REGISTRATION IS FULL
Join The Woodlands Township for the seventh annual Community Tree Planting on Saturday, February 13, 2021, from 9 a.m. to noon at The Woodlands High School Parking Lot.
To maintain COVID-19 safety, this year’s event has been reformatted: residents will drive-through the Woodlands High School parking lot and receive up to (2) trees in 3-gallon pots. Supplies are limited; residents must register in advance for their FREE trees. Registration is currently closed.
All volunteers and staff will wear face coverings when working. Participants are required to wear a face covering while trees are being placed in their car.
Trees may be planted wherever the resident wishes, at home or in green spaces in The Woodlands.
Residents are asked to share the location of their newly planted trees and report back on the health of their trees one year later. Data collected from these reports supports the tracking of reforestation efforts throughout the community. Resources will be available to help in the successful planting and care of the trees.
A total of 1,000 trees are available in the following varieties:
Bald Cypress
Loblolly Pine
Pecan
Shumard Oak
Swamp Chestnut Oak
Water Hickory
