THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (February 2, 2016) – The Woodlands Township will host a community tree planting on Saturday, February 6, 2016, from 8 a.m. till noon at Tamarac Park, 1300 N. Millbend Drive, The Woodlands 77380. For the second consecutive year, young children to retirees will make a difference at the Township’s annual Village Tree Planting event. Thousands of trees will be planted where they are needed most as an important part of the community’s reforestation program.

Trees will vary in species and sizes, ranging from seedlings up to 30 gallon pots. The variety of trees will enable residents of all ages and fitness levels to participate. A memorable experience for families, neighborhoods and friends, the planting will be supervised by the Township’s Forestry Division, who will pre-dig holes for the larger specimens.

Start a new tradition, pre-register by Thursday or drop-in on Saturday, February 6, 2016, to help reforest The Woodlands.

What: Plant 5-, 15- and 30-gallon trees in pre-dug holes, and plant loblolly pine saplings.
