THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (February 17, 2016) – The Woodlands Township Board of Directors has proposed a rate change for The Woodlands Express Park and Ride bus service to Houston from $12 to $13 for a round-trip ticket. The Township Board of Directors will vote on the proposed increase at the Board Meeting on March 23, 2016. If approved, the fare increase will take effect May 1, 2016.

Pursuant to 49 U.S.C. 5307(c)(1)(I), FTA Circular 9030.1E, and The Woodlands Township Board of Directors’ adopted policy, a 30-day comment period was opened in order to solicit input and feedback from the public. This comment period runs until 5 p.m., March 8, 2016. There will also be a public hearing on this rate change at the Board meeting on March 23, 2016, prior to the Board’s decision on the proposed rate change.
