THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (February 23, 2016) – The Woodlands Township Aquatics Division is now hiring for the 2016 season. Several training classes will be made available to those hired.
The Aquatics Division seeks to fill nearly 400 seasonal positions each year including about 340 lifeguards, 40 swim instructors, 12 swim coaches and eight pool pass aides.
Beginning in 2016 all seasonal Aquatics positions will see a wage increase of $1.00 per hour or more versus previous pay scales. The approved hourly rates for this year are:
- Pool Pass Aides: $8.00
- Lifeguard: $9.25
- Water Park Lifeguard (Rob Fleming Aquatic Center): $9.75
- Swim Coach (age group coaching): $9.50
- Head Swim Coach: $12.50
- Swim Instructors (WSI’s): $11.50
* All positions are eligible for a further $0.50 per hour for each additional year of experience, up to four years.Applications for all seasonal Aquatics positions (for both returning and new employees) are now posted on The Woodlands Township website at www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/jobs.
