[ARCHIVED] Township kicks off National Night Out at the Central Fire Station

National Night Our Kick Off

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (June 22, 2016) – Experience the sights and sounds of public safety during the National Night Out kick off. The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Watch invites neighbors and public safety personnel, Saturday, June 25, 2016, from 10 a.m. to noon at The Woodlands Fire Department’s Central Station, located at 9951 Grogan’s Mill Rd.

Along with The Woodlands Fire Department personnel, representatives from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, District 6, Harris County Constable Office’s Precinct 4, and the Township Neighborhood Watch will be available for discussion and safety resources.

Neighbors are encouraged to meet and join together against crime on National Night Out, Tuesday, August 2, 2016, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Residents are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and gather with their neighbors. When neighborhoods participate in National Night Out it accomplishes one of the first steps in crime prevention “neighbor knowing neighbor.”

Hosting a National Night Out party is just the way to bring neighbors together. In 2015, over 100 public safety personnel visited parties throughout The Woodlands. To join in on the fun and receive a public safety visit, please fill out the registration form at www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/nationalnightout.

Since 1990, The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Watch has brought residents and the public safety agencies that serve The Woodlands Township together under positive circumstances. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer.

For more information, please contact The Woodlands Township at 281-210-3800 or visit www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov.
