THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (August 26, 2016) – The Woodlands Township Park and Recreation Department is offering Stand-up Paddle Board Yoga this fall. SUP Yoga classes are held Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Riva Row Boat House, located at 2101 Riva Row. The new program embraces the latest trend in paddle boarding and provides an additional way to enjoy the beauty of Lake Woodlands.
SUP Yoga is taught by Tasha Summers, SUP Yoga Certified Instructor. Before going out on Lake Woodlands, Summers leads the class through getting familiar with a stand-up paddle board, water safety, and a land-based practice. Then the class enjoys one hour of vinyasa yoga on the lake and finishes with a short paddle back to Riva Row Boat House.
Classes are open to ages 16 and up. Students at all levels, from beginner to advanced, are welcome. The cost of the program is $45 per person. There is limited availability, and preregistration is required.
To preregister for SUP Yoga or for more information, please call the Riva Row Boat House at 281-210-3965 or visit the Township website at www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov. Before visiting the boathouse, please review the FAQ page at www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/rivarowboathouse.
