THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (September 23, 2016) – To ensure runner and spectator safety during the Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas 10-mile road race, some lanes along the race course will be closed to automobile traffic on Saturday, October 8, 2016, from 6 to 10:30 a.m. There will be law enforcement officers at every intersection along the race route, allowing cars through when there is a safe opportunity.
Proper planning and awareness of lane closure schedules should help alleviate any major interruptions. Residents are encouraged to avoid delays and use alternate routes around the race. Montgomery County Sheriff's Office will be responsible for closing and reopening lanes on streets along the race route.
The 11th annual Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas 10-mile road race is a USA Track and Field-sanctioned event that will feature up to 3,100 registered participants racing through The Woodlands, making their way to the finish line in Market Street.
