THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (October 12, 2016) – On Saturday, October 22, 2016, from 9 a.m. to noon, The Woodlands Township will present the Gardening 102 seminar, Transforming Landscapes—Trends and Tradition, at the Township’s Environmental Services facility at 8203 Millennium Forest Dr. In a refreshing approach, two recognized experts of easy-care gardening, Bob Dailey and Flo Hannah, will provide inspiration and tools to enhance water usage and make landscaping projects a success.
In a quick-paced presentation, Bob Dailey, Texas Master Gardener of the Year in 2014, presents Landscaping for the 21st Century. A water conservation expert, Mr. Dailey will present the latest best-management practices for developing beautiful and user-friendly gardens that reduce turf grass.
Flo Hannah, a native plant advocate with the Houston Audubon Society, specializes in enhancing landscapes in highly urban settings. Her presentation, The Importance of Gardening with Natives, presents a guide for selecting and using native plants to add life to landscapes.
