THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (November 2, 2016) – The Woodlands Township Environmental Services Department hosts nature writer and Houston Chronicle columnist Gary Clark to present What Birds Tell Us for the Walk in the Woods nature lecture, Thursday, November 10, 2016, 7:30 p.m., at McCullough Junior High School, 3800 S. Panther Creek Drive.

A keen observer of nature, Mr. Clark shares his lifelong fascination for the human connection to the life of birds. Featuring exquisite images captured by wildlife photographer Kathy Adams Clark, the speaker shares a glimpse not only of local bird populations, but takes a look beyond Texas to provide the bigger picture.

“Found in nearly every eco-system, birds are a part of our cultural heritage,” Mr. Clark notes. From a lifetime of observing, documenting and enjoying birds, Mr. Clark weaves a story that is both informative and inspirational. Discover what birds tell us about seasons, the environment and ourselves.

The evening premieres the release and signing of Book of Texas Birds, an identification and location guide penned by Mr. Clark, photographed by Ms. Adams Clark, and published by Texas A&M University Press.
