THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (November 16, 2016) – The Riva Row Boat House and Lakes Edge Boat House will both be open every day during the week of Thanksgiving, with the exception of Thanksgiving Day. The hours for kayak and stand-up paddle board rentals are 9 a.m. to sunset, with the last rental out one hour before sunset.

Both boathouses offer a great opportunity for those wanting to enjoy an outing on the lake for family get-togethers, dates, team building exercises, fishing excursions, or just a relaxing paddle around scenic Lake Woodlands.

Single kayaks rent for $15 for the first hour; tandem kayaks and stand-up paddle boards rent for $20 for the first hour, with $5 for each additional hour for all rentals. A valid ID is required for all rentals, and a two-person maximum is allowed per kayak.

Riva Row Boat House is located at 2101 Riva Row, within walking distance of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and Market Street, as well as the many free parking lots south of Riva Row. Lakes Edge Boat House is located at 1970 Hughes Landing Boulevard, next to the One Lakes Edge apartments and a short walk from Whole Foods Market and Restaurant Row.

The family dog is also welcome to ride for free in the kayaks, and lifejackets are available for dogs of all sizes. Fishing enthusiasts are welcome to bring a pole and tackle box, and the friendly staff will help to select the best kayaks for day fishing trips.
