THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (January 11, 2018) – The Woodlands Township will host a free workshop on Saturday, February 3, 2018, entitled “Creating Wildlife Habitats in Community Spaces.” The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Woodlands Emergency Training Center, 16135 I-H 445 South, Conroe, TX, 77385.
The workshop is an outgrowth of the Board of Directors’ resolution to support the creation and improvement of habitats for pollinators within the Township. Attendees will learn practical ways to create and maintain habitats for pollinators, birds and other native species, and will be given the tools to extend the program into their own landscapes. Additionally, attendees will receive information about habitat certification programs for homeowners.
The program will be hosted by The Woodlands Township Environmental Services Department in partnership with the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department and The Woodlands Joint Powers Agency.
Registration is required for the workshop and space is limited. The deadline to register is Thursday, February 1, 2018, by 5 p.m. Attendees may register online at www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/environment. Lunch is included for workshop participants.
