THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (June 27, 2018) – The Harris County Flood Control District will hold a Community Engagement Meeting on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Big Stone Lodge at Dennis Johnston Park, 709 Riley Fuzzel Road, Spring, TX 77373. It is open to the public and will focus on the Spring Creek Watershed.
The meeting will seek public input on the proposed Harris County bond for future flood mitigation projects. The bond election has been proposed for August 25, 2018; early voting would begin on August 8, 2018. The purpose of the bond election is to provide local funding for projects across Harris County to reduce the risk of flooding.
