[ARCHIVED] Sunny Dayz Camps offer a variety of programs for summer enjoyment

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (June 27, 2018) – Summer is here, and everyone is encouraged to make the most out of this season by experiencing what The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department has to offer. The Summer 2018 Action Guide, available online now at www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/actionguide, is full of fun in-house and specialty camps to meet any child’s interests. Registration for all camps is still open.

Sunny Dayz Camp is offered at two separate locations: The Recreation Center at Bear Branch Park, located at 5310 Research Forest Drive, and The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park, located at 6464 Creekside Forest Drive, for ages 6 - 12. Both camps are full day (7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and include a variety of fun daily crafts, games, activities, special guests, exciting field trips and much more.

Sunny Dayz Teen Camp is new for 2018. Held at The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park, Teen Camp is for ages 13 to 15. Teen Camp will be held from Monday, June 4 through Monday, August 20, 2018, from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Teens will have their own weekly schedule of activities, separate from regular Sunny Dayz Camp. Teen Camp activities include archery, kayaking, weekly community service projects, Teen Camp-only field trips, games, crafts, special activities and more.

Enrollment options and fees for all camps are $200 full week, $125 3-day option and $50 daily options per child. Sibling discounts are available.

In addition to Sunny Dayz camps, the Township Parks and Recreation Department offers all kinds of specialty camps, including engineering, robotics, technology and science camps for the kids seeking to amp up their brain power. Soccer, baseball, golf and outdoor survival camps are available for kids looking to get outside and get adventurous. Art and cooking camps are enrolling those looking to use their creative sides.
