THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (July 4, 2018) – Two firework locations are still scheduled to take place in The Woodlands as of 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4, 2018. Fireworks from Lake Woodlands and at Rob Fleming Park in the Village of Creekside Park are scheduled to take place at 9:30 p.m.
In light of unfavorable park conditions from today's rain event, the 21st Annual Red, Hot & Blue Festival has been cancelled at all locations which included Northshore Park, Hughes Landing, Town Green Park, Waterway Square and Rob Fleming Park. The Fireworks Extravaganza has been reduced to two launch locations due to recent heavy rainfall amounts that compromised the launch sites.
The Woodlands Township staff is working closely with its contracted fireworks vendor to ensure the main shows on Lake Woodlands and Rob Fleming Park are able to continue as scheduled at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Due to heavy rains and high lake levels, Northshore Park will be closed with access restricted for spectators. Please use the following locations for best fireworks viewing:
- Lake Woodlands Bridge (Closed to vehicular traffic from 8 to 10:30 p.m.)
- Alight Solutions parking lots (9500 Lakeside Boulevard)
- Waterway extension at Lake Front Circle
- Rob Fleming Park
In the event of delays or further cancellations, event changes and other details will be announced in multiple places:
