THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (July 26, 2018) – The Woodlands Township Board of Directors held a regular meeting on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at The Woodlands Township Town Hall, 2801 Technology Forest Boulevard in The Woodlands, Texas.
Before addressing agenda items, the Board of Directors accepted reports from Village Association representatives from the villages of Alden Bridge and Cochran’s Crossing.
The Board of Directors took the following actions on the Consent Agenda:
- Approved the first amendment to the Host Venue Sponsorship/Partnership Agreement with The Woodlands Marathon Management;
- Approved an amendment to Professional Services Agreement with Jones and Carter;
- Approved a Memorandum of Understanding between the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service, The Sponsoring Agency of Texas Task Force 1 and The Woodlands Fire Department;
- Approved a multi-functional printer lease/maintenance addendum with Dahill Office Technology Corporation dba Dahill;
- Approved a Municipal Advisor Engagement Letter with Masterson Advisors LLC;
- Approved an Election Services Agreement with Harris County, Texas;
- Approved an Election Services Agreement with Montgomery County, Texas;
- Approved a Joint Election Agreement with Montgomery County, Texas and possibly other jurisdictions in Montgomery County, Texas;
- Accepted the 2018/2019 Debt Service Collection Rate and the Excess Debt Service Tax Collections Report for the period July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018, as certified by the Montgomery County Tax Assessor/Collector;
The Board of Directors then moved on to take the following actions on the Regular Agenda:
- Received quarterly updates on Law Enforcement from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County Constable Precinct 3 and Harris County Constable Precinct 4;
- Received a quarterly report from Visit The Woodlands;
- Received and accepted the financial report;
- Approved Temporary Employees for The Woodlands Fire Department Communications Division;
- Received a report/analysis for using the Ice Rink for post ice rink season potential dry floor activities, programs and events;
- Approved a Request for Proposals for Solid Waste and Recycling Consulting Services;
- Received a report on repairs to the Fountains at Waterway Square and tabled the matter for future consideration;
- Tabled discussing a flood mitigation funding request from the Grogan’s Mill Village Association;
- Approved calling Directors Election to be held on November 6, 2018 and determining procedure of giving notice of same;
- Approved a proposal from U.S. Customs Border Patrol to add additional days (now every Thursday) at Town Hall to their Global Entry Enrollment Center services;
