THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (February 3, 2020) – The Woodlands Township will host the 17th annual Woodforest Bank TRI – The Woodlands on Saturday, April 4, 2020. The USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned event will take place from 7 to 11:30 a.m. at Northshore Park, 2505 Lake Woodlands Drive. Athletes are encouraged to register now as space is limited and the race is anticipated to sell out.
As one of the premier multi-sport events in the region, Woodforest Bank TRI – The Woodlands offers first-rate race management, a beginner-friendly atmosphere and scenic courses. The TRI has received numerous accolades, including serving as the Texas State Triathlon Championship in 2017. The sprint triathlon includes a 500-meter open water swim in Lake Woodlands, a 12.8 mile bike course winding through The Woodlands and a 5K run along The Woodlands Waterway, making it an ideal race for those just being introduced to the sport.
