Labor Day Waste Update thumbnail

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (September 4, 2020) — The Woodlands Township reminds residents that all solid waste services in the community will occur as usual over the Labor Day holiday with no interruptions or delay of services. Collection of trash, recycling, yard waste and Simple textile recycling will occur on regular service days, including Monday, September 7, 2020.

For a trouble-free pick-up, please place carts at the curb before 7 a.m. on your regular pick-up day. Keep streets clear of parked cars to allow trucks to access carts. Please make sure that lids on carts close completely and follow service guidelines.

Failure to follow guidelines will result in items being left at the curb.

The Woodlands Recycling Center at 5402 Research Forest Drive will be open every Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. regardless of holidays.

Per the Holiday Collection Schedule, the only holidays that will affect residential trash and recycling collection this year will be New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.  Find more information about trash and recycling services, please visit The Woodlands Township Environmental Services online at To report missed pickups, please call Waste Management Customer Service at 800-800-5804.
