A Note About Talk of the Township

During and post-Harvey, the Township has sent daily updates regarding storm recovery efforts within The Woodlands. As we continue with recovery, we will gradually return to our regular schedule of sending Talk of the Township weekly on Fridays. We hope that you have found this information helpful during this difficult time, and the Township will continue to assist residents as much as possible going forward. Please bookmark our Harvey Recovery Archive and check it frequently for more updates regarding recovery.

Trash and Recycling Pick-Up

Waste Management curbside trash and yard waste service has resumed normal schedule for yard waste and trash. Curbside recycling service will resume starting Monday, Sept. 11, 2017. The Recycling Center at 5402 Research Forest Drive will re-open starting Wednesday, Sept. 13. Hours are Wednesdays, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Read more

As the flood waters recede, the Township Environmental Services Department would like to remind residents to take precautions against mosquitoes. Post-Harvey mosquito surveillance throughout the Township indicates significantly increased population growth of floodwater mosquitoes. Read Township Emails, Website in Multiple Languages

The Township website and Talk of the Township emails are available in many world languages thanks to a translation tool offered on the Township website. When viewing the email on the website, simply click the gear tool at the top of the page and click 'Translate Page.' A variety of languages are available to choose for translation. While the translate tool will not provide a verbatim translation, it will offer a close interpretation for multilingual users.
