Looking to use The Woodlands Express to reverse-commute to your job in The Woodlands? It’s easy. Simply board one of our “turn” buses in Downtown Houston in the morning and ride to one of the Park & Ride lots located in The Woodlands. “Turn” buses are vehicles that return to The Woodlands for pick-ups after the first morning run and have destinations signs reading, “Returns to Research Forest”, “Returns to Sawdust”, or, “Returns to Sterling Ridge”.

The Woodlands Express runs on Milam St. in the morning and has nine stops. The stops are marked on METRO bus signs as Route #299. Board at any of those stops to begin your trip. For a map of the stops, please refer to the Downtown Houston route map.
There are a few options to get to your destination from the Park & Ride lot once you arrive.
During afternoon/evening service, board the bus at the Park & Ride lot. Once downtown, The Woodlands Express uses Louisiana St. You can get off at any of the stops along the way. For a map of the stops, please refer to the Downtown Houston route map:
Tickets are sold as round-trips and cost $13.00. You can purchase a book of 20 round-trip tickets for $260.00. Tickets are available at any of the Park & Ride terminals.
